1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide when creating and using an OnBoard account, including profile details, contact information, job activity, messages, preferences, and documents you choose to upload.

OnBoard Platform Technologies Inc. collects information needed to provide and protect the platform. Depending on how you use OnBoard, this may include account and contact information, worker or organization profile information, role preferences, job posts, applications, availability, messages, reviews, credentials, uploaded evidence, support requests, billing identifiers, device and diagnostic information, and location information.

We also record operational information such as login events, feature interactions, notification state, security signals, and audit events. Optional telemetry is controlled through the Privacy Settings page where that control is available.

2. How We Use Information

We use information to operate the platform, authenticate accounts, support job discovery and hiring, provide customer support, protect users, prevent fraud, and improve service reliability.

  • Create, authenticate, secure, and support accounts.
  • Provide discovery, matching, applications, messaging, scheduling, hiring, credential, and billing features.
  • Show accurate job-readiness and qualification information without treating unverified claims as verified.
  • Prevent fraud, abuse, duplicate activity, unsafe conduct, and unauthorized access.
  • Improve reliability and user experience using privacy-conscious analytics and diagnostics.
  • Comply with legal obligations and respond to valid legal requests.

3. Payments

Payment processing is handled by Stripe. Mapping, address, communication, storage, analytics, and document-processing providers receive only the information needed to provide their services.

For organization memberships and add-ons, OnBoard receives payment-related records such as customer and subscription identifiers, purchased product, billing interval, payment status, invoice status, and limited billing contact information. OnBoard does not require the mobile app to collect or store full payment-card numbers.

4. Stripe

Stripe processes supported payments, billing-portal actions, invoices, and subscription changes. Information provided to Stripe is handled under Stripe's terms and privacy practices. OnBoard uses server-confirmed Stripe events to update membership access and does not treat a return screen alone as proof of payment.

5. Credential Processing

Uploaded credentials may be processed using optical character recognition and automated extraction to help organize information. Automated extraction does not verify a credential.

Credential files and evidence are treated as private account information. They are not sent to issuers for OnBoard verification. Organizations receive only the credential or qualification summary permitted by the product and are not given private documents, OCR output, verification tokens, private notes, or exact identifiers unless a separate authorized workflow clearly permits it.

6. OCR

Optical character recognition may read text from an uploaded image or PDF to suggest fields such as credential name, holder name, number, issuer, trade, jurisdiction, and dates. OCR output can be inaccurate. Workers should review extracted details before showing them to hiring organizations. Extraction does not authenticate a credential.

7. AI Processing

OnBoard may process job prompts, structured job information, profile signals, credential text, and related context to provide drafting, extraction, matching, ranking, or safety features. AI-assisted results are support tools and are not proof of identity, authenticity, legal eligibility, certification, or hiring suitability.

We limit the information used to what is reasonably needed for the requested feature and apply access and security controls appropriate to the information involved.

8. Location Information

OnBoard may use precise location for private search and routing features when you grant permission. Public profile locations are limited to a coarse city or regional representation.

With permission, OnBoard may use device location, a selected address, or coordinates to support address entry, radius searches, job discovery, worksite details, directions, and urgent-job workflows. Exact addresses and coordinates are used only for the relevant private workflow and permission level.

Public worker and organization profiles use a coarse city, district, and province representation. A residential street address is not intended to appear on public worker cards, discovery results, or public profiles.

9. Google Maps

OnBoard uses supported Google Maps Platform services for functions such as place suggestions, address details, reverse geocoding, maps, and routes. A search term, place identifier, coordinate, or route request may be sent to Google when needed to provide that feature. Google's handling of that information is governed by Google's applicable terms and privacy policy.

10. Messaging

We process message content, participants, timestamps, delivery information, and supported attachments so users can communicate. Messages may be accessed when a user reports content, support is requested, a safety or fraud review is required, or disclosure is legally required. We do not make private messages public.

11. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including authentication, access controls, private storage, transport protection, audit records, and restricted service credentials. No service can guarantee absolute security. Users must protect their devices and credentials and report suspected unauthorized access.

12. Account Deletion

You may request account deletion from the app. Certain billing, tax, fraud-prevention, and security records may be retained when legally required or necessary to protect the platform.

Users may request account deletion through the available account settings or by contacting support. We may verify the request before acting. Deletion can remove access and may end active workflows. Some records may be retained where reasonably necessary for billing, fraud prevention, security, dispute handling, legal compliance, audit integrity, or the rights of other users.

13. Data Retention

We retain information while an account is active and afterward only for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this Policy, including security, support, billing, legal, regulatory, dispute, and audit needs. Retention depends on the type of information and the reason it is held. Deleted information may remain temporarily in protected backups until normal backup lifecycle removal.

14. Policy Updates

We may update this Policy as OnBoard, our providers, or applicable requirements change. The current version displays its last-updated date. We will provide additional notice when a change materially affects how personal information is handled.

15. Contact

Questions about privacy can be sent to [email protected].

Privacy questions, access or correction requests, and deletion questions may be sent to OnBoard Platform Technologies Inc. through Settings > Contact Us / FAQ. Do not include passwords, full payment-card details, or unnecessary credential documents in a support message.

These policies may be updated from time to time. Continued use of OnBoard after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised policies, where permitted by law.
