1. Welcome

By creating an account or using OnBoard, you agree to these Terms and the policies referenced in them. You must provide accurate information and keep your account secure.

These Terms of Service govern your use of OnBoard, a platform operated by OnBoard Platform Technologies Inc. OnBoard helps workers and organizations connect for employment and hiring activities in Canada.

OnBoard is a technology platform. We are not an employer, employment agency, trade regulator, licensing authority, apprenticeship authority, or credential issuer. By creating or using an account, you agree to these Terms and the policies linked in the app.

2. Eligibility

You must be legally able to enter into these Terms and use OnBoard for lawful purposes. If you use OnBoard for an organization, you confirm that you are authorized to act for that organization.

You may not create or use an account if your access has been suspended or permanently removed, unless OnBoard gives written permission.

3. User Accounts

You are responsible for activity performed through your account, except where the activity results from a security failure controlled by OnBoard.

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete registration and profile information.
  • Keep your login credentials and device access secure.
  • Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.
  • Do not impersonate another person or organization, sell an account, or create accounts to avoid restrictions.

4. Worker Responsibilities

Workers are responsible for the accuracy of profiles, experience, credentials, availability, applications, and communications submitted through OnBoard.

  • Keep your experience, availability, preferred roles, location, and qualifications accurate.
  • Distinguish self-reported information from information verified by an employer, supervisor, issuer, registry, or approved reviewer.
  • Apply only for work you are legally permitted and reasonably qualified to perform.
  • Follow workplace rules, safety requirements, and lawful instructions after accepting a placement or job.
  • Review job terms and make your own decision before accepting work.

5. Organization Responsibilities

Organizations must publish legitimate opportunities, provide accurate job information, follow employment and human-rights laws, and use worker information only for authorized hiring purposes.

  • Use OnBoard only for genuine hiring and workforce needs.
  • Provide accurate job duties, compensation, location, schedule, qualification requirements, and employment terms.
  • Comply with applicable employment, human rights, occupational health and safety, tax, immigration, privacy, and consumer laws.
  • Protect worker information and use it only for permitted hiring purposes.
  • Do not state or imply that OnBoard has licensed, certified, or approved a worker when it has not.

6. Job Posting Rules

OnBoard may reject, limit, unpublish, or remove posts that violate these rules or create safety, fraud, or legal risk.

  • A post must describe a real opportunity controlled by or authorized for the posting organization.
  • A post must not be misleading, discriminatory, unsafe, unlawful, expired, duplicated for spam, or unrelated to legitimate work.
  • Mandatory qualifications must be genuine and must not misrepresent unreviewed guidance as a legal requirement.
  • Workers must not be charged an undisclosed fee to view, apply for, or accept a job.

7. Messaging Rules

Messaging is provided for legitimate work, application, hiring, placement, and support communications. Follow the Community & Messaging Guidelines whenever you communicate through OnBoard.

  • Do not harass, threaten, discriminate, spam, or send unlawful content.
  • Do not request passwords, full payment-card details, or unsafe off-platform payments.
  • Do not send malware, deceptive links, or content intended to exploit another user.

8. AI Features

Automated tools may help draft content, extract document information, or improve matching. Users remain responsible for reviewing information before relying on or submitting it.

OnBoard may provide tools that assist with job drafts, matching, ranking, search, document extraction, or other workflows. These tools can be incomplete or wrong and do not replace professional, legal, regulatory, safety, or hiring judgment.

You must review AI-assisted content before relying on or publishing it. AI extraction confidence describes how confidently information was read from a document; it does not prove that a credential is authentic or valid.

9. Credential Verification

Workers may upload documents and report credentials on their profiles. An uploaded mark means that OnBoard received a file; it does not mean OnBoard authenticated the credential, checked its status, or confirmed authorization to work.

Hiring organizations must check required qualifications and work authorization with the appropriate issuer or authority before assigning regulated work. Requirements vary by trade, task, and work jurisdiction.

10. Memberships & Billing

Paid organization features are billed through Stripe under the plan and interval selected at purchase. Applicable prices, renewal terms, and cancellation options are shown before confirmation.

Paid organization memberships and add-ons are billed at the price, currency, interval, tax treatment, and renewal terms shown before purchase. Recurring memberships continue until cancelled in accordance with the billing terms presented in the app.

Payments are processed through Stripe. Stripe confirmation and OnBoard's server-side billing records determine whether paid access is active. A redirect, client display, or pending payment does not by itself grant an entitlement.

Plan changes, cancellations, credits, prorations, refunds, failed payments, and access after cancellation are handled according to the selected product, applicable law, and the information shown during the billing action.

11. Acceptable Use

You may not use OnBoard for harassment, discrimination, fraud, spam, impersonation, unsafe activity, unauthorized data collection, or attempts to interfere with platform security.

  • Do not commit fraud, impersonate others, submit false documents, or manipulate platform records.
  • Do not scrape, probe, overload, disrupt, reverse engineer, or bypass platform security or access controls except where applicable law expressly permits it.
  • Do not upload malware, infringing content, or personal information you are not authorized to provide.
  • Do not use OnBoard to arrange illegal, deceptive, discriminatory, exploitative, or unsafe activity.

12. Suspension

We may restrict or suspend accounts that violate these Terms, create safety or security risks, misuse the service, or fail to meet payment obligations.

OnBoard may warn, restrict, suspend, or permanently remove an account, job, message, document, or feature access when reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms, protect users, investigate fraud, comply with law, address non-payment, or reduce security risk.

We will provide notice and an opportunity to respond where practical, but may act immediately where delay could create harm. Obligations that should reasonably continue, including payment, privacy, evidence preservation, dispute, and liability provisions, survive suspension or account closure.

13. Limitation of Liability

OnBoard is provided on an as-available basis. We do not guarantee that a user will receive work, hire a worker, satisfy a regulatory requirement, obtain a credential decision, or experience uninterrupted service.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, OnBoard Platform Technologies Inc. is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-profit damages arising from platform use, third-party conduct, employment decisions, or worksite events. Nothing in these Terms limits rights or liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded.

14. Changes

We may update these Terms as the platform, law, or our practices change. The revised version will show a new last-updated date. We will provide additional notice when a change materially affects user rights or obligations. Continued use after an update takes effect means you accept the updated Terms, where permitted by law.

15. Contact

Questions about these Terms can be sent to [email protected].

Questions about these Terms may be sent to OnBoard Platform Technologies Inc. through Settings > Contact Us / FAQ in the app. Include enough information for us to understand the request, but do not send passwords or full payment-card details.

Policy updates

These policies may be updated from time to time. Continued use of OnBoard after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised policies, where permitted by law.
